We are going to finish our round of comparative dedicated to the new Moto G4 Plus (in the hope that make its debut the OnePlus 3, which will be another important rival), facing the phablet of which can be considered successor, the Moto X Play, since this can be still found in some distributors and with a very interesting price. What difference one and another model? You be interested in some circumstances bet with the oldest? As always, we will try to resolve this question by analyzing the technical specifications of both.
Design
Logically, from an aesthetic point of view we have two very similar devices, with virtually identical lines, although it is true that it is possible to identify some small variations, such as the emergence of the fingerprint reader at the bottom of the front of the Moto G4 Plus (one of the advantages of the latest model).
Dimensions
One of the points in favor of the older model is that, while as we will see in the next section the display of both is the same model, this is significantly more compact (15.3 x 7.66 cm front 14.8 x 7.5 cm), if it is true that no finer (9.8 mm compared with 10.9 mm) and lightweight (155 grams against 158 grams).
Screen
One of the features that top brand continuity between these models and that invites us to think of one as a successor of the other is the size of the screen, which is the same in both (5.5 inch), although it is also its resolution (1920 x 1080), and therefore its density of pixels (401 PPI). New model, therefore, does not leave us any improvement in technical specifications in this respect paragraph to its predecessor.
Performance
There are no large differences between them in the performance section, since both we find a Snapdragon range average and 2 GB de RAM memory. Logically, the Moto G4 Plus chip is one more recent (Snapdragon 617 front Snapdragon 615), and both are eight-core, but the oldest frequency is slightly higher (1.5 GHz to 1.7 GHz).
Storage capacity
At least if we are interested in the basic model, they’re not going to find any difference between these two models: the two offer us what is usual in a mid-range smartphone, which are 16 GB of internal memory, with the option, that Yes, to expand them externally, thanks to its card slot for micro-SD.
Cameras
The main Chamber is one of the two points on which phablet of last year has lead to the Moto G4 Plus, since it reaches the 21 MP, while on the other is “only” 16 MP. Moreover, they are quite similar, with the same opening (f/2.0) and dual LED flash, and the same happens with the front-facing camera, which is 5 MP in both and where you can not see any substantial evolution between the new model and its predecessor.
Autonomy
This is another paragraph in which the Moto X Play gain, or which at least part with advantage, since we don’t have real autonomy for the Moto G4 Plusverifiable data, but we do know that the battery capacity is substantially smaller than its predecessor (3000 mAh face 3630 mAh). Price
Moto X Style, as we said at the beginning, can be found now in some distributors with a very interesting price, since sold for something less even than 270 euros, that is just the price that has been announced the Moto G4 Plus.
