Samsung doubles its benefit in Spain in 2015, country where also taxed

Last week talked of as the manufacturer is kept as the company that more units sent to the different markets in the last period of the year with figures 80 million terminals sold, among which there are the new Samsung Galaxy S7. Spain is not maintained beyond Hurricane Samsung, country where the brand announced that it has doubled its profits.

It seems that Samsung is doing good things, because although most of these figures are a direct result of the phenomenal sales of its current flagship (and waiting for the commercialization of the recently presented Samsung Galaxy S7), there is no doubt that its wide range of terminals, both mid-range and low-end, have much of blame for the economic streak spanning the manufacturer.

And is that, as we can read in the economic section of the country, “Korean company recorded a net result of EUR 34.1 million in 2015, representing an increase of 120% with respect to 2014, according to the accounts deposited in the register.”

Samsung has increased its turnover last year in Spain 12%, reaching 1.761,7 million euros, while the operating result amounted to 34.1 million, 136% more than the same period the previous year.

Samsung taxed in Spain

Today we are used to read different kinds of news that speak of as the major technology companies declare much of their revenue abroad to take advantage of the tax advantages present in other countries, as for example Ireland.

To all come us to head multinational companies such as Apple, Google, Amazon or Facebook, those who take advantage of the lack of fiscal agreement in Europe to take advantage in their favor the advantages offered by countries such as Ireland, the Netherlands or Luxembourg.

However, Samsung is one of those companies that it taxed in Spain, so that its economic activity impacts directly in the coffers of the State. In fact the brand has disbursed last year an amount of 10.9 billion euros in corporate tax, at the rate of 28%. A figure quite substantial when compared with the taxes paid by Apple in the same period: 3.2 million euros.

Globally the Korean company has suffered an increase in profits of no less than 18% compared with the same period of last year, which means a 5% annual growth in what refers to revenues from Samsung.
