This weekend we did a review of the new generation of phablets of 6 inches or more, but today we will analyze strengths and weaknesses of two of the most popular of them in this comparison of specsin more depth: the Xperia XA Ultra, that justice must recognize that its success has yet to demonstrate because just present , but do not doubt to take place view the welcome which already had his predecessor, Xperia C5 Ultra, and Huawei Mate 8, the “giant” phablet par excellence. Which of the two is better suited to what you are looking for? You help decide it.
Design
Between these two phablets we find the usual stylistic differences between the devices from Sony and Huawei, more angular in the first lines of softer in the second. Aside from our aesthetic preferences, in any case, with the two we will enjoy great finishes and premium materials, thanks to the metal casing that covers them both. A point in favor of Matt 8, however, is the fingerprint reader.
Dimensions
We have two of the phablets with larger screen that have arisen in recent months and that, logically, feeling in the total size of both is left but especially in the Sony (16.42 x 7.94 cm against 15.71 x 8.06 cm). Also has lead the Huawei phablet in weight (202 grams against 185 grams) and, although minor, (8.4 mm to 7.9 mm) thickness.

Screen
The screen is one of the sections star in this comparison, simply by the size of both, which we have said there is not many smartphones to reach it (6 inches). It is not the only thing they have in common, in any case, since they also have the same resolution (1920 x 1080) and, therefore, the same density of pixels (367 PPI).
Performance
Here the tie undone and the balance leans clearly on the side of the matte 8, not so much by the RAM memory, which is 3 GB in both cases, as with your processor, more powerful (P10 Helio’s eight cores) and 2.0 GHz frequency against Kirin 950 of eight cores and 2.3 GHz frequency.
Storage capacity
Another point in favor of the Huawei phablet is the storage capacity that puts at our disposal and is 32 GB, the double of the of the Sony, with 16 GB. The two have, in any case, micro-SDcard slot, which can help us to solve problems of space that we are externally.

Cameras
If the Mate 8 has emerged victorious in the last two sections, now turn to shine to the Xperia XA Ultra, get since Sony has worked especially with their cameras, which are no less than 21 MP the main and 16 MP the front. The Huawei phablet cameras are powerful, but in comparison appear to be modest, with 16 and 8 MP, respectively.
Autonomy
Until we have evidence of actual use of the Ultra Xperia XA data (those of Matt 8 already have and they are excellent), and while we have us to compare to limit the ability of each battery, will not propose any winner, since the tie is absolute, with 4000 mAh. Consumption, however, may be a key differentiating factor.
Price
We don’t know yet how much will cost the newly presented Xperia XA Ultra, but hope that, even if it raises about its predecessor, does not exceed 400 euros, while the matte 8 which is a high-end phablet, in the end, is more expensive. It is possible, however, find it already in some dealers for less even of 500 euros. It is already, in shedding, put into perspective the importance that has for us the sections in which the phablet of Huawei is superior and assess whether it is worth us paying the around 100 euros more than we can expect that it costs us to get with it.
